Goalkeeper
Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham): Even though finishing on the defeated team against Chelsea, his colleagues left him exposed. He was up against 18 attempts, nine on target, and an xG of over three for the visitors yet he kept them in it. He never gave up for his side.
Defenders
Nico O'Reilly (Manchester City): The talented teen is frightening. Naturally a midfield engine, he adapts intelligently at left-back. His display in the victory against Bournemouth stood out, establishing him as a rising talent.
Gabriel (Arsenal): A constant menace, he helped secure a further shutout for his club. He is a handful from set-pieces, and his presence was decisive in the triumph at Turf Moor. Rival teams clearly fear him.
Jean-Clair Todibo (West Ham): Selected for two reasons: West Ham's win and his measured, confident display. Although Newcastle were not at their best, he stood out in possession and settled the play. Following a few uncertain weeks, he appears to have grown under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ryan Sessegnon (the Cottagers): He ignited the side in the win over Wolverhampton. Outstanding going forward and consistent throughout the term, he has found the net to his game. Fantastic to see him fit and performing.
Engine Room
Moises Caicedo (Chelsea): The only engine no one can dispute. Crucial for his club, he stood as the top tackler. An energizer, he pushes everyone forward. Arguably the finest defensive mid in world football.
Declan Rice (Arsenal): Another pivotal display versus the Clarets. An absolute beast, he netted and shines from set-pieces. When playing lesser teams, he recovers energy and executes forward surges. Crucial to unleash him.
Ryan Gravenberch (the Reds): He pushed forward, getting a goal versus a poor Villa side. His ability to dictate play with and without the ball, plus his vision and challenges, rendered him essential to the win.
Attack
Diego Gomez (Brighton): He netted a brace against United, but his style was graceful dribbling by defenders. Running quickly and strongly, he edged out teammate Danny Welbeck for this spot.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City): What else is there to say about this phenomenon? Each occasion he broke through, you expected a score. He didn't appear like missing. The King has returned. Despite off-season chatter about other strikers, the Norwegian reigns supreme. He could shatter goal tallies this season.
Rayan Cherki (City): Playing high on the right suits him best. Remarkably two-footed, uncommon like Santi Cazorla. He can take set-pieces equally well. A skilled player, he looks fit post-recovery. His connection with Haaland is clearly why he was signed.
Gaffer
Nuno Espirito Santo (the Hammers): Haven't seen it, just watch his celebration the third goal versus Newcastle. It demonstrates how much it matters for him and the squad. He knows they are under pressure, yet they must get through and secure results.
