King Desires Andrew to Lose Vice Admiral Title, Minister Says
The Ministry of Defence is actively proceeding to strip Andrew Mountbatten Windsor final honorary title following the direction of the King, the defense minister has announced.
The defense secretary said the Monarch had "expressed his desire for this outcome".
The Duke, who was relinquished his princely title on recently, kept his rank as a Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy after surrendering his additional military roles in two years ago.
"This represents the proper step, the King has directed us to implement this measure and this is being handled presently," the official informed the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.
